This weekend Jarrett and I knocked out a TOP SECRET video project he's been wanting to do for a few months. More details in a few weeks.
In the mean time here are some photos of from the weekend. Walking around D.C. for a few hours really made me want to spend 4-6 hours downtown taking photos.
Every year I host an event called the CAMPOUT BASH. We've been doing it down at a top secret location on the Shenandoah River for 4 years with 20+ of our closest friends. I wanted to shoot some time-lapse shots at night while everyone was drinking and eating the ridiculous food we grill up BUT the clouds closed in after being out for only 30 minutes so I had to scratch that idea. I'll be going back soon to hopefully KILL IT!!
On Sunday I got up at 4:30am to head to the Potomac River. YES, I said 4:30am. I went to this section up near Trump National Country Club where the river is about .5 mile wide and tons of mini islands and rock landings. I'm still all about shooting sports related video projects BUT time-lapse photography is great to incorporate into edits even though everyone and their Moms, brothers and Fathers mistresses are doing. Here are 2 images of 2 time-lapse shots I got. The sun was hidden being the clouds for most of the rise so I improvised. Since I'm experimenting with this style of shooting I'm only shooting 220 photos which comes out to be about 6-9 seconds of video at 30 frames per second.
Last weekend I went on a 3 day kayak trip on the north Potomac River with the donkeys. If you were invited and didn't go, I'm sorry to say, you fucked up. Great food, lots of beer, lots of sun and 198 fish caught. The video should be edited by this weekend. Enjoy
