A Change of Pace-The 2011 US Open

I took a day off from my day job and filming to visit the 2nd day of practice rounds at the 111th 2011 US OPEN.  I rented a Canon 5d mk2 with a 70mm-200mmL.  It was great to walk around and take photos of some of the greats in golf.  Even with Tiger out, I had loads of fun and followed a GREAT group (Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Jeff Overton and Hunter Mahan).  I'm pretty sure those guys were all betting on shots throughout the day.

The camera it self was great and the lens auto focused lightning quick.  It was cool to get away from video for a day and take some photos!!  I did  shoot some video just to check out the great quality and from the 4 times I used the video feature I was impressed with overall quality and depth of field.

I officially can't wait for the canon 5d mk 3 or whatever full framed camera canon comes out with.
